The nightly job runs as the service account leo. It reads and writes data under /srv/lab/app/state, but since yesterday's deploy every write fails with "Permission denied".

Task

Investigate and fix the problem so that leo can write to /srv/lab/app/state and to the files inside it again.
Do not change any permission (mode) bits — the modes were reviewed by security and are correct.
