You are testing a migration and need this machine to talk to the new server before public DNS is updated.

Task

Make the hostname edge.staging.example resolve to 10.20.30.125 on this machine.
Use the local hosts file — do not run a DNS server.
Keep every existing entry in the hosts file (especially localhost).
