Two processes run on this server: courier-api, which answers customers, and courier-batch, a nightly report that competes with it for CPU.

Task

  • The running courier-batch process must have a niceness of 15.
  • Do not restart it: it must be the same process (same PID).
  • courier-api keeps its current priority.

Ubuntu 24.04 with no internet access. You are student with passwordless sudo. The grader checks the final state of the machine, not the commands you typed. Values like names and ports are generated for you.
