.gitignore and Tracked Files
You add config.local.json to .gitignore, but Git still shows changes to that file. Why?
config.local.json
.gitignore
Choose one answer
.gitignore must live in .git/.
.git/
The pattern must be written in upper case.
.gitignore only works after a reboot.
The file is already tracked; .gitignore only affects untracked files. Untrack it with git rm --cached config.local.json.
git rm --cached config.local.json
