Find Config Drift Between Two Trees
Before a deploy of pulse, compare the configuration that is live (/srv/lab/deploy/live) with the one about to ship (/srv/lab/deploy/staged).
Write to /home/student/drift.txt the paths, relative to those folders, of the files that exist in both trees but have different content: one per line, sorted alphabetically.
Files that exist in only one of the trees are not part of the list.
About this machine
Ubuntu 24.04 with no internet access. You are student with passwordless sudo. The grader checks the final state of the machine, not the commands you typed. Values like names and ports are generated for you.
