Audit SUID Programs

A release of syncd is about to ship from /srv/lab/release. Programs with the SUID bit run with their owner's rights, so every one of them must be on the approved list in /srv/lab/release/APPROVED.

Task

Write the absolute path of every SUID file under /srv/lab/release to /home/student/suid-report.txt: one per line, sorted alphabetically.
One SUID program is not on the approved list. Remove its SUID bit, and keep the rest of its permissions as they are.
The approved programs keep their SUID bit.

About this machine

Ubuntu 24.04 with no internet access. You are student with passwordless sudo. The grader checks the final state of the machine, not the commands you typed. Values like names and ports are generated for you.
