Every app in accounts reaches orders-api by name, except scheduler-ui. Its log shows wget: bad address orders-api every 10 seconds. CoreDNS is healthy, and the other apps resolve names fine.

Task

  • scheduler-ui's Pods resolve Service names through the cluster DNS, like the other apps.
  • Keep its container as it is, and keep the Deployment running.

Compare scheduler-ui's Pod spec with one that works, for example kubectl get deploy orders-api -n accounts -o yaml.

About this machine

Ubuntu 24.04 with a private practice cluster: a real Kubernetes API server, scheduler and controllers, and three nodes (controlplane, node01, node02). Containers are simulated, so images never download and kubectl logs/exec are not available. k is an alias for kubectl, with completion. The grader checks the cluster's final state, not the commands you typed.
