A Service for a Database Outside the Cluster
The database behind erp-db runs outside the cluster, at 192.168.40.21:1521. To give apps a stable name for it, the DBA team created the Service erp-db in claims without a selector, and wrote an EndpointSlice for it by hand. Apps that connect to erp-db.claims:1521 just hang.
