Find Every Config That Uses a Setting

easy 10 XP ~4 minHands-on lab

The database host db-primary.legacy.internal is being decommissioned. Before it goes away, you need to know which service configs still point at it.

Task

  • Search everything under /srv/lab/etc (including subdirectories).
  • Write the absolute paths of all files that contain db-primary.legacy.internal to /home/student/legacy.txt, one per line, sorted alphabetically, without duplicates.
  • Lines that are commented out with # still count — the hostname is in the file.
